Flatform 322 at Design Dispensary
Toby Horrocks and Kristian Aus collaborated on a cardboard interior as part of the State of Design Festival in Melbourne.
"Interiors and products have a limited life span. Do you design for longevity and hope your designs don't prematurely end up in the skip? Or go with the flow and accept that change is inevitable? Industrial designer Kristian Aus and architect Toby Horrocks have created an interior space that is both architecture and object, made from 100% post-consumer waste and 100% recyclable."

Guildford Lane Gallery
Freefold 02 on display at Guildford Lane Gallery in Melbourne from November 12 to 15 2009.
Freefold 02 is a recycled cardboard storage and display system with a unique geometry. Arrange it as a free-standing screen wall, office furniture or plinth; face it in or out it will always maintain the same pattern. Freefold 02 is sized to hold paperbacks in horizontal boxes, art books in vertical ones, and is strong enough to put a TV on. Flat packed and light weight for transport, it is easy to assemble with no glue. Slots in the sides allow the modules to be connected together.
Freefold 02 is made from Xanita X-board which is manufactured from 97% post consumer waste paper. It is 100% recyclable - just put it out with the normal paper recycling at the end of its useful life. Available through freefoldfurniture.com.

Lightly Pop-up Shop, Crossley Street, Melbourne
The Lightly pop-up shop in Crossley Street in Melbourne
was open for a month, from July to August 2009.
The shop displayed Lightly products in a cardboard
retail environment designed by Freefold Furniture.
This included Freefold Furniture's latest experimental
prototype for a "terrain display table" made from a
single sheet of pleated cardboard, shown below.
Two other prototypes on display, first seen at Lightly's
stand at the Sydney Life-in-Style expo in March 2009,
are the shelf and table shown below. Like Freefold 01 and
Freefold 02, they assemble from flat-pack with no glue.
